The University of Michigan Law School is looking to fill one or more Assistant Director positions within the Office of Student Life. Reporting directly to the Student Affairs Director, the Assistant Director(s) will be responsible for programming initiatives related to academic success, fostering community, and professional identity formation. The incumbent(s) will also be responsible for counseling students and helping them identify resources to address their challenges, facilitating student accommodations in the classroom, and supporting DEI programming efforts. They will also collaborate with student organizations on a wide range of student-led programming and activities.   Minimum qualifications: - J.D., M.S.W., or Master’s degree in Counseling, Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Higher Education Leadership, or related field. -  Strong college student development orientation and ability to create a dynamic and welcoming collegiate environment.  - Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated cultural competencies and ability to work within and contribute to a diverse campus community.  - A work style and teambuilding and leadership skills.  - Understanding of student retention.  - Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential information appropriately according to FERPA and other compliance requirements.  - Willingness to work evenings and weekends.   To apply, please visit
