Job Summary
The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is an economic development program that increases economic prosperity in Kansas by providing free consulting services and affordable training to businesses that want to sell products and services to federal, state, and/or local governments. The Subcenter Director plays a key role in this effort by: managing a federally funded program; providing expert consulting and training; ensuring that economic impact goals are met, key stakeholders maintain support for the program; and promoting JCCC and the PTAC through community outreach. This position is grant funded.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or business related discipline, years of experience may substitute for degree
Minimum of two years of work-related experience, skill or knowledge; such as contracting and government procurement experience
Minimum of two years’ experience in business management, consulting, administration, financial analysis, or economic development
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong analytical ability
Strong ability to work self-directed handling multiple projects and clients simultaneously
Proficiency in computer skills with Microsoft-related products
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in at least three of the following areas: developing marketing or strategic plans; developing bid and request for proposals; internet marketing or e-commerce; business management training; providing consulting services to businesses; direct experience as a buyer/seller of goods to the government
APTAC-CPP/APP;NIGO-CPPO/CPPB/CPP;NCMA-CFCM/CPCM/CCCM/CCMA;FAC-C Certifications
