Job Description: Teaching AST 100 Astronomy Survey

Education Requirements: Master’s degree in astronomy or astrophysics; or physics with 18 credit hours in appropriate graduate-level astronomy and/or physics courses; or a master’s degree in a related field and 18 credit hours in appropriate graduate-level astronomy and/or physics courses.

Experience Requirements: Recent college-level teaching experience, lab development, and ability to work with course management systems such as Blackboard are the preferred qualifications. Additionally, this section of AST 100 requires previous experience teaching online. The teaching requirement may be fulfilled through a program of supervised teaching as a graduate student.
