Vacancy Number: S-00801 Position Title: Honors/UNIV/EEEC Administrative Assistant (part-time) Classification Title: Administrative Associate Department: Experiential Education and Engagement Employment Type: Part-Time Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a part-time staff support position for Honors. The job functions are to support for our three units: the University Honors Program, the UNIV Student Success Program, and the Experiential Education and Engagement Center.

Duties:
Complete hiring forms for student peer mentors and faculty/staff who teach for UNIV or Honors. Approve time for student workers. Prepare for events by keeping up with lists of attendees, creating nameteags, reserving rooms, preparing handouts, etc. Prepare materials for Orientation or other recruiting events. Help in ordering materials, tracking of invoices and paying vendors and consultants. Successful applicant should have strong customer service skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing software and the ability to operate standard PC/PC software applications
Knowledge of Excel and other spreadsheet software
Knowledge of applicable university policies and procedures
Knowledge of general office procedures and professional office behavior
Knowledge of assigned department forms, rules, etc.
Interpersonal skills and cultural competence
Oral and written communication skills
Analytical skills
Ability to review materials and identify discrepancies or mistakes (i.e., proofreading)
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
Ability to respond to several demands at one time
Ability to prioritize assignments
Ability to coordinate the work of others Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent

proficient in basic word-processing skills, i.e. Microsoft, Powerpoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets.
