Knowlton Center, a new $25 million engineering, physics, computing, and math building that opened in January of 2021, there has never been a better time to bring your talents to BW and shape the future of engineering education with us.
We seek a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August of 2021. A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field is preferred, although candidates near degree completion will be considered. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: electrical engineering, applied physics, mechatronics, robotics, systems, and/or energy conversion, and can contribute to our degree program in these areas. Qualified candidates in other areas of engineering are encouraged to apply as well. Dedication to undergraduate teaching and mentoring of laboratory, research, and design projects is essential. Duties and responsibilities:
- Teach classroom, practice, and/or laboratory courses, including development and delivery of course content
- Maintain assessment and outcome records for program improvement and ABET accreditation
- Engage in scholarly and professional activities consistent with departmental and University expectations
- Advise students in the major
- Serve on University and/or School committees
- Contribute to departmental initiatives
- Maintain ethical and professional relationships
