We seek applicants for a full-time position to lead comprehensive grant functions for the College. The Director will oversee grant lifecycles, including researching potential funding opportunities, preparing and writing grant applications, and supporting principal investigators with post-award compliance. The Director is also responsible for developing and implementing administrative standards, procedures, and related best practices to facilitate successful outcomes for grant initiatives.

This position will report to the Assistant to the President for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

General responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish and supervise grants office staff
  • In consultation with other College administrators, make decisions about which grants opportunities to pursue
  • Lead teams and communications for grant planning and submission development purposes, including internal and external stakeholders as appropriate
  • Oversee post-award responsibilities including fiscal monitoring, project management, reporting, and ensuring compliance with College and grantor requirements
  • Provide ongoing support to staff for annually awarded grants and serve as a resource to employees looking to pursue grant funding options
  • Develop and deliver trainings and workshops

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three years’ related professional experience in grants, including a combination of experience in writing, research, fundraising, and project management

  • Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of community college students and employees
  • Record of success in being awarded federal, state, and foundation grants and experience with grant management and/or post-award compliance 
  • Strong skills in data collection and research, complex project management, problem solving, and technology usage 
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, with ability to communicate complex information clearly, professionally, and succinctly to a variety of audiences and through multiple modalities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
