The George Washington University School of Nursing invites
applications for a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to lead our online
nurse-midwifery program track. This is a full-time, 12-month
non-tenured faculty position at the Assistant or Associate
Professor rank, with a start date of January 1, 2022 or after. This

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serving as Director for the SON Nurse Midwifery program track
- Overseeing curriculum development and revisions for the program track
- Teaching and mentoring graduate students in the specialty area
- Attending department and program meetings
- Participating in faculty governance for the School and University
- Maintaining current licensure and certification
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate in nursing, education, public health or related field by date of appointment;
- Current certification as a nurse midwife;
- Eligibility for DC and VA RN licensure;
- Online teaching experience;
- Recent clinical or leadership experience in the specialty area;
- Experience with simulation based learning; and
- Evidence of ability to advance diversity, equity and inclusion efforts through teaching, research/scholarship and/or service.
