Work on critical and
complex projects, including supporting LEAN Sigma office
initiatives
Work with stakeholders to
oversee JHURA process improvement projects and strategic
initiatives.
Develop
surveys
Complete analyses and
produce reports based on survey data.
Work with department
Leadership, staff and JHURA customers to identify opportunities for
strategic growth and/or process improvement.
Identify and engage key
stakeholders and/or subject matter experts to aid in completion of
projects.
Create project plans that
will:
Outline
scope
Identify goals and tasks
for each stakeholder
Layout timelines, key
performance indicators and milestones
Include communication and
change management plans

Review expenditures and
perform cost benefit analysis related to projects and general
operations.
Reconcile general
operating budgets.
Create and maintain
monthly budgetary projections.
Complete quarterly
spending analyses.
Complete payroll and other
financial actions in SAP.
Run reports in
SAP
Complete the steps
necessary to hire new staff.
Develop new administrative
policies and procedures, as needed.
Assist with preparation
for department and program events/activities including planning,
scheduling and communication activities.
Cross train to support
other roles within the JHURA administrative team during times of
absence or overload. This may include preparing and sending out
communications, arranging meetings and setting up and supporting
events both in person and virtually.

A Bachelor’s Degree in
related field and a minimum of three years related experience in
project management, administration or
financial/accounting.
Research administration
experience in a university setting and knowledge of current issues
in sponsored projects strongly preferred.
Additional education may
substitute for required experience and additional related
experience may substitute for required education, to the extent
permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Excellent written and oral
communication skills.
Must be comfortable with
public speaking and able to present status updates to
stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to
build collaborative working relationships. Ability to organize,
prioritize and manage multiple projects with minimal
direction.
Must be pro-active and
goal oriented.
Must be optimistic and
patient. A can-do attitude goes a
long way in JHURA!
Must be highly proficient
in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams and
PowerPoint.
Knowledge of SAP a
plus.
A working knowledge of a
specialized project management tool and survey software
preferred.
