Primary Purpose of Position:
The Compliance Manager position will oversee, review, develop, implement, and administer policies and procedures to ensure North Carolina Central University's compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The position will be responsible for oversight and coordination of the Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management functions at North Carolina Central University. This position will report directly to the Office of Legal Affairs.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in the area of assignment, of which at least one is supervisory or in a lead-worker capacity; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate should possess significant legal, regulatory, audit and/or compliance experience at an institution of higher learning. Demonstrated skill in effectively communicating results to a diverse audience; ability to work at all levels of management with a focus on collaboration and relationship management. Experience with data analysis tools and techniques including advanced concepts of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and/or other analytical software Should possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Have strong interpersonal skills and high ethical standards, strong critical thinking, detective, analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate should also be autonomous, self-motivated and flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to change or shifting priorities.
