What you'll be doing

  • Oversees the strategic direction and daily operations of the Office of Admissions to assist UVU in meeting enrollment and student success goals
  • Oversees the recruitment and admission of students to UVU including student information and recruiter system processes
  • Works closely with other campus entities to coordinate the design and implementation of consistent communication and marketing through the admission pipeline
  • Responsible for administering all Federal and State regulations related to visas and determination of residency for tuition purposes for non-resident and international students
  • Reports to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management.
  • Oversees department strategic planning, program development, processes, finances, and assessment to support enrollment goals of the institution while ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations
  • Directs implementation and maintenance in the student information and recruiter systems for all aspects of the recruitment and admissions processes
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Communications, Concurrent Enrollment, and various academic and Student Affairs departments to develop high impact recruitment and marketing strategies
  • Oversees recruitment, training, supervision, development, and evaluation of department personnel
  • Represents the Office of Admissions at various related meetings and events, on and off campus, and completes other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus three years of staff level experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling seven years.

  • Knowledge of higher education recruiting programs, methods, and strategies.
  • Knowledge of student information and recruiter systems and other related technology.
  • Knowledge of staff hiring processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.



Skills

  • Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external constituencies.
  • Skill in developing and delivering presentations.

Abilities

  • Ability to develop and implement recruitment and enrollment plans.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to prepare collateral materials for university recruitment purposes.
  • Ability to critically analyze processes and procedures for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
