The Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina Charlotte invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the assistant professor level in the area of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management starting Fall 2022. The primary teaching area will be Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, and related courses (e.g., negotiation, leadership) at both the undergraduate and graduate level, including MBA. The teaching load may include face-to-face, hybrid and/or online deliveries.

Qualifications: Required qualifications include: (1) a Ph.D. in Management or a related field, (2) an ability to publish research in premier management journals, (3) an ability to create an inclusive learning environment and effectively teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses. Job Overview: All tenured and tenure-track faculty are expected to participate in expanding the knowledge base of her/his academic field by conducting research or engaging in other creative activities as appropriate to the faculty member’s discipline. Faculty responsibilities and essential functions with respect to research may include but are not limited to: research/creative activity that generates new knowledge and/or synthesizes and/or integrates existing knowledge, publication, an on-going agenda for research, scholarly, and creative activity, and are expected to seek extramural support for their work. The Management Department: Research by our faculty regularly appears in elite management journals such as the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science, Journal of Management Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and The Leadership Quarterly. The faculty serve as editors or associate editors at Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Family Business Strategy, The Leadership Quarterly, Human Performance, Business Ethics Quarterly, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, as well as Journal of Business and Psychology.

Management faculty also have the opportunity to participate in university- and college-level interdisciplinary programs --School of Data Science (one of only three independent schools of data science in the nation), the Doctoral Program in Organizational Science and the Doctorate in Business Administration.
