The Budget Manager will manage approximately a $60 million budget within the division of Enrollment and the Student Experience. The Budget Manager will review budget allocations, expenditures, fund balances and related financial activities ensuring that allocations are accurate, revenues are recorded, expenses are within budget and fiscal practices are followed. Furthermore, the Budget Manager will analyze monthly financial statements for all units utilizing a variety of financial information (revenues, expenditures, projections) for the purpose of providing resource allocation support.

The Budget Manager will consolidate monthly budget forecasts to project the estimated fiscal year-end financial position of the division. The Budget Manager will work directly with the Budget Director of ESE and routinely keep the Budget Director informed on all financial and administrative matters. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 5 years with budgeting and forecasting financials, preferably in a higher education setting. Job Specific Qualifications
Microsoft Office/Excel with experience using Pivot Tables, PeopleSoft, Tableau. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for day-to-day supervision of operations of the budget and business office, including administrative and system processing related to personnel including: managing financial transactions, and oversight of payroll preparation & approval, weekly payroll submission and & approval, semi-monthly payroll and approval.
  • Monitor and manage budget allocations, expenditures, fund balances and related financial activities ensuring that allocations are accurate, revenues are recorded, expenses are within budget and fiscal practices are followed.
  • Financial reporting for unit. Download data from the PeopleSoft system to analyze, review and forecast budget, revenue and expenditure activity; compile financial reports by assembling and reconciling expenditure data for assigned projects.
  • Charged with the set-up and oversight of administrative policies and procedures for the unit. Regularly reviews operating practices and procedures to determine if and where improvements in workflow can or may be needed. Independently institutes changes where and when necessary.
  • Independently provide timely and accurate financial and special reports on a routine basis including financial analysis and interpretation as a result of thorough reviews of the information and details. Counsel on questions and concerns regarding budget and financial information as well as policies and procedures.
