Job Summary

The part-time faculty position in the Dental Hygiene Department at Johnson County Community College is a team instructor position for clinical dental hygiene courses. Adjunct clinical faculty will be assigned to instruct first and/or second year students while working with clients in the campus dental hygiene clinic. This position could also potentially serve as a substitute when other part or full time faculty are unable to work and/or there is an emergency need to fill. Other duties may include assisting in the Dental Materials course.

Required Qualifications

Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene
3 years clinical practice experience
Eligibility for Dental Hygiene Licensure in the State of Kansas
Local Anesthesia Certificate
Nitrous Oxide Certificate
Current CPR Certification (BLS with AED)
Enrolled in a Bachelor Completion Program

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene
2 years Clinical Teaching Experience
