The Department of Occupational Therapy is seeking adjunct instructor(s) interested in teaching an interactive and experiential course covering the topic of adult occupational performance. OCCT 613 is a 3-credit (2 lecture hour; 2 lab hours) course during the Spring 2022 semester that examines adult evaluation and intervention fundamentals that support occupational performance. The course covers evaluation and intervention content underlying and applicable to all areas of adult occupational performance. It includes specific assessments, practical information on understanding clients with a variety of conditions, and therapist skills. This is a fully immersive in-person course taught in our College of Health Professions building.

Responsibilities include

coordination of and presentation of course lecture and lab content, use of Canvas as the course learning management system, and grading of all content.

We are seeking clinical experts who practice within and across the adult continuum of care. Modules will cover: neuromuscular conditions, orthopedic conditions, UE conditions, PAMs, splinting, and the older adult. Interested individuals may teach the entire course (approximately 1 full day a week for 15 weeks), or may be interested in teaching a module. Each module will follow a general structure to support the students' learning and transition across the modules.
