The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership, student instruction and advising on a full-time basis in the Economics curriculum. Primary teaching responsibilities include Macro and Microeconomics. Ability to develop courses related to the economics of healthcare, finance, or other applied areas is desirable. This person will provide vital instructional and other programmatic support to general education and applied technology programs within the School and College. The faculty will teach a full load (15 credits/semester) in courses within the Social Sciences and Humanities. -Specific courses include (but are not limited to): Intro and upper -level courses in economics. Position will start in the Fall semester, August 2022.

 Minimum education and experience include:

  • Master’s degree in Social Studies, Education, Business, or related field from an accredited college or university. 
  • Two (2) years relevant successful teaching experience at the college level.
  • Experience teaching Macro and/or Microeconomics at the college level.
  • Continued professional development in teaching or content related field.
  • Professional development and/or experience in delivering distance education coursework.

Minimum abilities and skills include:

  • Ability to embrace work within a multidisciplinary social sciences and humanities department supporting varied undergraduate applied technology programs within the School and throughout the College.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach creatively and effectively.
  • Developed organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population.
  • Available to work day and evenings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Interdisciplinary approach to education with the ability to teach across disciplines.
