Associate Director of Admissions Events and Campus Visits


Coastal Carolina University invites applications for the Associate Director of Admissions Events and Campus Visits (Student Services Manager I). The Associate Director serves as the chief administrator of the recruitment/enrollment event unit with design, supervisory, and fiscal responsibilities.  The Associate Director will plan and execute a campus visit program that guides prospective students through the enrollment process while building interest in the University at each stage. This position is responsible for the planning, implementation, and assessment of all on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruitment and enrollment events, as well as the management of the University Welcome Center and tour guide program. This position is also responsible for implementing policies and procedures for the successful recruitment of new student within as assigned geographical area(s).

Duties include, but are not limited to: manage the planning and execution of all campus visits and recruitment/enrollment events that occur on-campus, off-campus and virtually, which include but are not limited to daily campus tours, Saturday tours, open house programs, admitted student events, counselor events; supervise admissions staff in the campus visit/events area; maintain effective working relationships with campus administrators and departments to provide a high-quality campus visit program that supports departmental goals and the University’s mission; coordinate the development and execution of a comprehensive virtual visit program; coordinate and manage the logistics of each virtual program which include reserving dates, arranging speakers, developing presentations, and managing the marketing and registration process; represent the Admissions Office and University at major functions both in- and out-of-state to promote the University to a variety of constituents in a positive and professional manner; develop a territory management plan which outlines strategies to meet enrollment targets by geographic region; advise and counsel prospective students/applicants and their families throughout the admissions and enrollment process; manage the University Welcome Center to ensure the dissemination of accurate information and superior customer service for over 20,000 visitors yearly; provide supervision and leadership to the admissions events and campus visits team; serve as a member of the leadership team and work to promote positive relationships with university partners and constituents;  and performing other duties as assigned.


Qualifications: a master’s degree and at least three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience in undergraduate admissions or student recruitment at a post-secondary institution.  Supervisory experience is required.  Valid driver's license required. A master’s degree in higher education or a related field and experience preferred in: data assessment and analysis; budgetary/fiscal management; event planning; and territory management to include application review and recruitment travel are preferred.

SC State Pay Band: 06.  Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.  Must be able to work evenings and weekends. This individual will be required to travel both in-state and out-of-state.
