Ca’ Foscari invites applications for a tenure-track position for an Assistant Professor in the area of Informatics

Ca’ Foscari is looking for a researcher of Informatics capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.

The scientific activity will take place within the H2020 project RePAIR ("Reconstructing the Past: Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Meet Computer Vision") (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/964854/it) and will concern the development of advanced computer vision and machine learning algorithms for the reconstruction of large broken frescos. The research will be carried out in close collaboration with the project partners, in particular: the Italian Institute of Technology, the Ben Gurion University of the Negev (Israel), the University of Bonn (Germany), the Association of Instituto Superior Técnico for Research and Development (IST-ID) (Portugal), and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii.

The researcher might be exempted from teaching.

The position is at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics.

The Department is engaged in multidisciplinary research, carried out by brilliant researchers in the fields of environmental systems analysis, management and modelization of environmental and informatic systems, climate studies, complexity, preservation of cultural heritage and sustainability.
