Postdoctoral Associate

Job Description

A Postdoctoral Associate position is available within the Amanda Morris research group. The position will be focused on the synthesis and study of (electro)catalytic and/or electrochromic metal organic frameworks (MOFs). The project will involve the synthesis of inorganic and organic molecules for incorporation into MOF structures. Characterization techniques such as cyclic voltammetry, UV-Vis spectroscopy, NMR, PXRD, TGA, and surface area analysis will be a component of the work.

Required Qualifications

- Ph.D. in chemistry or an appropriate related field. PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment with a minimum of one year eligibility remaining.
- Experience in the synthesis and characterization of catalysts and/or metal organic frameworks
- Strong work habits and the ability to work independently as well as with a research group
- Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- First author research publications
- Presentations at conferences and/or other instances of communicating research work
