Job Details
This position maintains all student financial records and ensures all tasks are completed timely and in compliance with current internal and external regulations. This position also actively communicates with students via phone/email/in-person appointments to deliver exceptional customer service.
Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities :

- Audits student accounts to identify and calculate necessary adjustments, Title IV funding returns, credit refunds, and balances that need to be collected.
- Invoices students and/or third parties for balances due and monitor status of pending payments.
- Collects payments and records in student database,
- Communicates with Financial Aid Officer(s) on student accounts,
- Meets with students to discuss account changes and financial obligations.
- Other responsibilities may include processing payment plans, creating third-party invoices, monitoring uncashed/escheated checks, miscellaneous data entry, and other tasks as required.
- Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.
- Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
- Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, predominantly Excel
- Excellent ethical conduct, customer service, thoroughness, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student accounts and related documents
Education, Training and Experience :
- Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 2 years relevant experience in a bursar office or business office setting preferred
