The Marshall Community Lead will require a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays. This role will be responsible for the Marshall front desk operations. Responsible for developing a working team in collaboration with the Office of Student Living in the Division of Enrollment and Student Experience. Key to the success of the operation is strong partnership with the Office of Campus Development and Facilities Operations to have a cohesive operations and communication plan for the Marshall. Partnering with the Center for Disability Resources for proper housing accommodations as needed is essential. This role will establish policies, procedures, and training materials for the Marshall front desk. The position would serve as a team leader for residential operations at the Marshall. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in higher education or customer service. Proficient with operational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead in a team environment. Organizational skills are essential. Previous supervision and customer service skills a must. Job Specific Qualifications
Proficient with Microsoft Office, multi-tasking, ability to meet deadlines, working on a team. Higher education experience working with students and parents required. Ability to interpret policy and procedures and make independent decisions affecting Syracuse University students. Strong data analytic skills. Organizational skills are essential. Proven ability to analyze processes, identify process improvement opportunities to streamline operations, improve quality of data/information and improve customer satisfaction. Ability to lead, recruit, and train staff. Establish and maintain relationships with staff across the University, and effectively communicate to students, families, staff, and faculty. Responsibilities
Oversight of residential operations at the Marshall, including front desk management. Anticipated supervision of 1 Housing Coordinator and student employees. Create and update Standard Operating Procedures to be utilized at the front desk for all processes. Serve as a liaison with the Office of Student Living in the Division of Enrollment and Student Experience, Office of Campus Development and Facilities Operations, and the Campus Safety and Emergency Services/ Department of Public Safety. Work in conjunction with the other staff in HMPID for functionality of applications to use at the main desk, including The Housing Director, Odyssey, and package tracking system. Manage the mail room and package service area at the Marshall. Review weekly student schedule and mail reports.

Training staff on all aspects of assignments and front desk operations. Coordinates and develops formalized written procedures and training in a standardized format that is easily maintained. Plans, writes, and updates written information such as training guides as needed.

Maintain assessment of student satisfaction with University residential facilities and their living experience. Manage and review assessment data and recommend/implement adjustments to service and operations accordingly. Assessments to be performed at least annually.

Conduct and deliver tours and leasing information for new residents. Manage the monthly other income log for lock outs. Coordinate with Executive Director on any lease violations that need to me address or capital projects.

Coordinator with Facilities any service repairs that need to be scheduled by unit or public space and communicate them to Executive Director. Coordinate all new information and communication to residents with regards to change in policy or procedure at leadership request. Review all reports form packing system for closeout report.
