Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, one of the top ten research universities in the country, seeks a new Assistant Vice President for Business Intelligence and Decision Support to serve the Duke University Alumni Engagement and Development community.

 

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Alumni Engagement and Development, the AVP for Business Intelligence and Decision Support will be responsible for working cross-functionally across the development and alumni offices to build and execute focused strategies for increasing donor support and engagement with Duke University. The new incumbent will be an innovative, strategic leader who can direct business intelligence initiatives that support the information needs of partners and front-line staff. The new AVP must excel in a highly collaborative environment, actively contributing to the research and management of prospects for the Alumni Engagement and Development ecosystem of 300 employees. This role will also directly manage a team dedicated to business intelligence and decision support.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear commitment to the importance of higher education and the values of Duke University and possess strengths in comprehensive data analysis and the delivery of timely, actionable insights using business intelligence. They will have strong experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, data governance best practices and project management. They will be adept at managing complex relationships and serve as a thought partner for senior alumni engagement and development leadership.
