Job Description:

Reporting to the Associate Provost, and housed primarily on the Plymouth campus, the Assistant Director of Marketing & Enrollment has primary responsibility for outreach, recruitment, and retention of continuing education & graduate students.  The Assistant Director of Marketing and Enrollment coordinates efforts within the Division that supports student enrollment from matriculation through graduation including communications and services to prospective and current students.  The Director will serve as a liaison to other campus offices including, but not limited to, Enrollment Management, Registrar, and Student Financial Services.  The Assistant Director manages daily operations, hires, trains, and develops admission/enrollment staff members, serves as lead liaison with external marketing partner, and maintains CE/Grad division website and its internal portal pages.

Essential Functions:

1. Manage Recruitment and Outreach:

  • Assist with development of appropriate recruitment, enrollment, and retention goals for the fiscal year budget cycle;
  • Coordinate outreach to prospects and current students to support enrollment, retention, and degree completion goals;
  • Maintain admission and enrollment processes and procedures to ensure compliance with programmatic and federal requirements;
  • Works with Enrollment Representatives to ensure accurate records and reports in Salesforce;
  • Ensures timely reports and information for program directors on leads, applicants, admits, and deposits;
  • Supports phone outreach to students as needed;
  • Assists students with information regarding the admission application process and financial aid and assist when appropriate with resolution of questions on billing, students records, and registration;
  • Develops and maintains enrollment reports in Salesforce.

2. Coordination of Internal Marketing Initiatives:

  • Partner with external marketing partner as needed to create and edit copy, coordinate and develop schedules and timelines, and revise sell sheets;
  • Coordinate and maintain Division web pages and internal portal pages

3. Monitor and Enhance Student Experience, Retention, and On-Going Engagement:

  • Assist with development, planning, and implementation of retention strategies including communication activities with and for current CE/Grad students;
  • Devise systems to contact students who have not enrolled in a timely manner, determine the reason, and offer resources and solutions with the goal of retaining the student in their academic program;
  • Monitor best practices in student engagement and retention in adult students and devise strategies for use in the division based on these practices;
  • Assist with the development of key metrics for retention and engagement of students;
  • Generate reports of retention and progression of the students in the CE/Grad division.

Additional Functions:

  • Serves as a liaison to the Director of Academic Operations and Technology and ITS;
  • Monitors and reports any technical issues with the classrooms and offices in the Plymouth campus location;
  • Serves as a resource to staff in the Division around technical issues especially as they relate to Salesforce;
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or his/her designee.

 

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education administration, continuing education and/or graduate studies experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Serve as an effective spokesperson for the Division and the College.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Banner and other applications to support the operation.
  • Ability to travel to off-campus locations and branch campus sites.  Some evening hours are required.
