The Department of Social Work at the University of North Alabama is seeking a non-tenure-track, visiting lecturer to begin January or August 2022.

Duties of the position include teaching five to six courses in the online MSW program each semester (courses are 8-weeks each, 2 credit hours per course), student advisement responsibilities, assistance with field internships as needed, and serving on relevant committees. Successful candidate must be able to teach across the MSW curriculum to develop professionally grounded social workers that are knowledgeable, skilled, and ethical in keeping with the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) accreditation standards. This candidate will also serve as liaison between the department and the community, maintain office hours in accordance with university policy, and perform other duties as assigned by the department chair. Applicants should have a commitment to effective online teaching, student advising and mentoring, curriculum development, and professional activity.  The successful candidate may choose to work at a distance or relocate to the North Alabama region.

Minimum qualifications: MSW from a CSWE-accredited social work program is required; Minimum of two years of post-MSW social work practice experience in a social services setting is required; Doctoral degree in Social Work or a closely-related field is highly desired.
