Job Summary

Kennesaw State University in now accepting applications for a pool of applicants for possible part-time teaching positions to teach sections of beginning, intermediate, and/or advanced courses in The School of Art and Design. The Kennesaw State University School of Art and Design offers a BFA degree in Art (concentrations in Art Education, Art History, Ceramics, Graphic Communications, Illustration, Painting and Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, Sequential Art, or Sculpture), a BFA in Digital Animation, and a BAT in Apparel Textiles Technology.


Qualified faculty are needed to teach in the areas of Digital Animation, Illustration, Graphic Design, Comics, Art Education, Textiles, Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Art History, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture. Also seeking faculty who can teach Foundations courses in 2D and 3D Design areas.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have an advanced degree in Fine Art or related field. The terminal degree for visual arts studio is the MFA. An earned Master’s/Terminal/Doctorate in designate area of specialization, or the foreign equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate awareness and sensitivity towards promoting an inclusive and diverse learning
  • Knowledge of field of specialization, particularly in technical
  • Knowledge of or experience in implementing a variety of teaching strategies; ability to teach effectively at the college


  • Prior teaching experience at the university level
  • Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites and other software related to discipline specific areas, particularly for applicants wanting to teach in Graphic Communications, Digital Animation and
