ADJUNCT FACULTY PHYSICS AND ENGINEERING

Position Summary/Purpose:

The College of Arts and Sciences at North Park University seeks applications for multiple adjunct Faculty in the Department of Physics and Engineering for the spring of 2022.

The successful adjunct candidate will be committed to teaching in a multicultural environment and welcome the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning abilities. We expect to have full in-person instruction for Fall semester with opportunities for flexible schedules including day and night classes and depending on the conditions with covid, be apply to pivot to online instruction as needed. Adjunct Faculty instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom and laboratory settings. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluations, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum of a master’s degree in a field related to the discipline being taught, or a master’s degree plus 18 semester hours of graduate-level credit in the discipline being taught.
• Discipline specific teaching experience at the College level is desirable.

• Physics and Engineering: PHEN 2510 Electronics for Scientists
• Physics and Engineering: PHEN 2520 Electronics for Scientists Lab
• Physics and Engineering: PHEN 3110 Statistical Thermodynamics
• Physics and Engineering: PHEN 3510 Quantum Mechanics
