GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The OER Administrative coordinator is a part-time, three year, grant funded position that will assist and support the implementation of the university's Open Education Resources textbook grant.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: N/A

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Interim Dean, Library

EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Assists with the implementation of the DOE Open Textbook grant program, a grant-funded initiative to promote open educational resources (OER) and affordable course content adoption, adaptation, and creation.
  • Collaborates with the Interim Dean of the library, and other grant team members to accomplish program goals.
  • Performs routine and complex administrative tasks, such as electronic record keeping, scheduling meetings, and processing stipends for faculty and other payments.
  • Provides information on OER trends and best practices to faculty, librarians, student leaders, and administrators.
  • Ensures the archiving of OER materials in institutional repository and other online platforms.
  • Plans events and delivers logistical support for the webinars and institute organized by grant team.
  • Compiles, analyzes, and utilizes data and metrics to measure program impact.
  • Assists with tracking and fulfilling grant reporting requirements.


Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Interest in current and emerging trends and best practices in OER and textbook affordability issues for higher education.
  • Experience providing administrative support in complex projects.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Experience with project management involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to collect and interpret data to assess program goals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.


Additional Information:

This is a part-time non-benefited, contract position, up to 15 hours per week. Flexible scheduling. The pay rate is $25 per hour. This is a grant-funded position through September 1, 2023 and continued employment is contingent upon on-going grant funding.
