Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor of Business Analytics and Management

Penn State Berks invites applications for a Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Business Analytics and Management. This full-time position is a 36-weeks, non-tenure line, limited term (three-year appointment) with the possibility of reappointment, to begin August 2022.

Responsibilities of this position will include teaching four courses (12 credits) each semester of undergraduate courses in business analytics and management. Teaching assignments will require online classes for the Penn State's World Campus BSBIC Program; courses taught for Berks Campus may be face-to-face, hybrid or online as needed. Courses may include Business Analytics, Introduction to Data Analytics, Business Data Management, Business Strategy and General Management. Participate in course, curriculum, and program development. Facilitate active and collaborative learning. Advise students and provide career guidance. Participate in campus, university, and community service activities. Engage in activities to stay current in the discipline.

This position will be filled as a Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor. The minimum qualification of an MBA with an MIS professional designation/credential, or an M.S. or MBA in Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field from an accredited institution is required to be considered for the rank of Lecturer. A Ph.D. in Business/Information Systems or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred for the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. Prior college-level and online teaching experience preferred, as is industry experience.
