Position Summary:  Two-year, full-time teaching appointment, beginning August 2022, for a creative writer to teach a three-course load each semester, including Introduction to Creative Writing and advanced courses in the writer’s genre/s. Genre is open, with preference for a writer who can teach advanced courses in fiction, nonfiction, and/or writing for stage and screen. The lecturer will play a key role in mentoring students interested in creative writing and publishing, help organize creative writing programming in collaboration with other members of the English Department, and assist with advising the undergraduate literary journal. This position is nonrenewable.

Qualifications:  M.F.A. or Ph.D. with creative dissertation is preferred. The successful candidate will have publications in print and/or online magazines or journals with national visibility and experience teaching undergraduate creative writing. Successful candidates in recent years have had a new or forthcoming book.
