Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Applied Engineering

The Department of Applied Engineering of Jacksonville State University’s College of Business and Industry is seeking to hire a scholar for an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Applied Engineering.

The Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the Department of Applied Engineering provides educational opportunities and experiences to traditional and non-traditional students. The faculty member will teach graduate and undergraduate level courses in Applied Engineering with a focus in industrial automation and mechanical design along with applied research. The candidate will be required to teach courses within his/her concentration area on-campus and online.

This tenure track position requires possession of a doctorate in the field of Controls Systems Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. The terminal degree must be obtained within one year of hire date. 1-3 years of industrial experience or applied research experience are also required.

The position has an anticipated start date of August 2022.
