Job Summary:

The Neuroscience Training Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison was established in 1971. Currently, it comprises over 100 faculty members whose research interests range from molecular neurobiology to integrative systems and computational modeling. The program is designed to prepare students for careers in research and teaching. Training leads to the Ph.D. degree in neuroscience or the M.D./Ph.D. degree in cooperation with the School of Medicine and Public Health.

The Graduate Program Manager assists the Neuroscience Training Program Director and NTP faculty trainers in administering the Ph.D. program in Neuroscience. This includes supporting and administering the NIH T32 training grant as well as a variety of program administration-related tasks.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of three years of experience working in higher education is required; preference will be given to those with prior graduate student services and/or research administration experience.
- Computing skills with word processing, spreadsheet, and databases are required.
- Strong organizational, strategic planning, and management skills are required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with students, faculty, and staff is required.

Additional Information:

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment. University sponsorship is not available for this position.
