Job Summary:

This is a Chemist Level position within the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH), and performs duties under the supervision of the Organic Chemistry Supervisor. This position serves as a Liquid Chromatography - Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS-MS) specialist responsible for independently preparing, analyzing and reporting tissue, water, waste water, solids and other sample matrices to support state or federal regulations, research grants or other contracts. Responsibilities include performing routine and non-routine analysis using state-of-the-art technologies; performing maintenance on complex systems; training other analysts; and working with clients to understand the results we have provided. Knowledge of GCMS, GC-FID, and GC-ECD would also be preferable as this position may also run other routine tests in the laboratory.

Education:

Bachelor's degree required in a science related field.

Qualifications:

LC-MS/MS experience preferred.
