Position Title Nursing - Medical Surgical Faculty Position Summary
The College of Nursing at California Baptist University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Medical Surgical Nursing.

California Baptist University, an evangelical Christian university affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention, invites applications for the following faculty position. Candidates must embrace the mission of California Baptist University and evidence a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service through the integration of the Christian faith and learning.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service activities that support the mission of the College of Nursing and the University. A doctoral degree in the field indicated is preferred, although candidates with a master’s degree in nursing who are progressing toward a terminal degree may be considered. A Family or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification preferred.

University teaching experience with a minimum of 3 years in Medical Surgical Nursing practice. Applicant must have an unencumbered California Nursing license. Teaching Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include classroom and practicum teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs. The faculty member will participate in course and program development, implementation, and evaluation. In addition, the faculty member will make site visits to healthcare agencies hosting practicum sites in order to assess and evaluate the implementation of the curriculum and teaching/learning activities in accord with accreditation and state regulatory standards and requirements.
