Summary of Job Duties:Manage all social media accounts and marketing activities for the College, including the creation and development of content, print and online advertising, email campaigns, and website management.

Interface, engage, and support student and community events including, but not limited to, all aspects of student and community activities, academic programs, campus events, community education programs, and faculty/staff development.

Attend on- and off-campus functions to provide written and photographic content for the campus.

Utilize data and analytics to stay current on social media, email, and web-based marketing trends.

Interpret policies, procedures, rules and regulations for web content and maintenance.

Develop working relationships with multiple media services for a variety of marketing activities.

Assist with various projects across campus including commencement, official functions, meetings, and events.

Collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive, strategic marketing plan.

Manage multiple marketing budget accounts.

Other duties as assigned as related to the nature and scope of the position.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

  • Knowledge of the principles, practices and theory of advertising, promotions, and marketing.

  • Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and requirements.

  • Maintain ethical standards in social media/marketing practices.

  • Knowledge of advertising and marketing strategies and techniques in various media formats, including social media, digital, radio, print, television, etc.

  • Knowledge of AP style and photography techniques.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with promotions partners and advertising vendors.

  • Ability to explain laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures to promotions partners and advertising vendors.

  • Ability to create, prioritize, manage, and execute the strategic marketing plan. Ability to lead marketing functions including creative, production and media placement.

  • Ability to set priorities, effectively manage multiple projects, and make sound judgments regarding sensitive and highly visible matters.

  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other graphics program; and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Skill in gathering, compiling, analyzing, and presenting data as it relates to social media and marketing efforts.



Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field from an accredited college or university

  • Two years of progressively responsible related work experience in advertising or marketing.

  • Some travel will be mandatory; therefore, applicants must be able to qualify to drive on state business.

  • Excellent problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • The ability to communicate effectively in writing and in public presentation settings at varying levels to engage students, campus employees, and external stakeholders.

  • Commitment to the mission of a comprehensive two-year college.



Salary Information:

$39,000 to $42,000
