Qualifications:
Health Psychology will study the relationships among mental processes, behavior and physical health with an emphasis on the role of psychology in the prevention and treatment of illness as well as promoting optimum health. Prerequisites: Psychology 1 or Biology 15 or 25. This course satisfies the Common Good requirement of the Core Curriculum.
This course will be taught in a hybrid format and meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 - 1:05 pm during the 2022 spring term.
In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular virtual office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.
Candidates must be a resident of California, have an M.S., M.A. or Ph.D. in the relevant area of Psychology. A Ph.D. in Psychology is highly desirable. Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the undergraduate level and experience/familiarity with online/hybrid instruction.
