Pratt Institute is seeking a Macintosh Administrator who is a creative problem solver with excellent communication, technical, and organizational skills to support the Academic Computing Department. The successful candidate will manage the daily operations of the Machinery Computer Lab and the Apple/OSX imaging infrastructure. The successful candidate will provide physical plant support of the Machinery Computing Lab facility and technical support of hardware, software, servers, and network connectivity for all computer lab equipment, supervise student staff, provide support to lab users and digital output services. This position will handle administering the standardization of campus wide macOS lab systems, including planning, analysis and implementation of macOS-related processes and best practices. If you can demonstrate the ability to operate and oversee the use of technical equipment and hardware, can demonstrate excellent analytical and time management skills when managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and have experience with service management platforms, then we want to hear from you!

On a typical day you will be required to:
  • Manage the daily operations of the Machinery Computer Lab including support of hardware, software, servers and network connectivity for all computer lab equipment, supervising student staff, providing support to lab users and digital output services. Establish and maintain macOS standards, create and maintain Knowledge Base Articles for the macOS environment. Design, build, and administer policies for macOS in JAMF Pro
  • Create, test, and deploy MDM profiles for macOS
  • Support the lifecycle management for macOS and Apple hardware releases, system updates and upgrades. Collaborate with team members to address department needs.
