Pratt Institute is searching for a System Administrator who is a confident and skilled professional with excellent communication skills, can work with minimal supervision and has good Maker type skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for our AIX system and all of its related services. This includes the ID card system and campus meal & payment systems. You will also maintain several Oracle, Sybase, MsSQL, MySql, & Postgress databases. This position requires ability to wire low voltage panels and hands on part level repair of these systems. If you are interested in serving as the Systems Administrator, you will need experience in these areas and knowledge of Linux, BSD, AIX and Windows.

On a typical day you will be required to:

• Check all systems logs and investigate any abnormalities found
• Visit different campus buildings to maintain equipment located across the institute
• Provide support to end users as needed
