The Admissions Office at Pratt Institute is seeking an Assistant Director of Enrollment Management who is self-directed and will assist the AVP with overseeing various aspects of recruitment, including research on current trends and enrollment modeling, planning, and scheduling and management of various admissions/enrollment projects. The successful candidate will assist with executing strategies for targeted marketing as well as with aspects of undergraduate admissions recruitment and processing, including traveling to various locations throughout the US as necessary, conducting visual arts portfolio reviews and evaluating incoming undergraduate credentials, including visual portfolios and transcripts, for the purpose of encouraging enrollment at the Institute.

If you have experience conducting visual arts portfolio reviews, can thrive in a busy and complex work environment with multiple projects, and have strong organizational and planning skills, then this could be the position for you!

On a typical day you will be required to:
  • Assist with the completion of undergraduate applications including evaluating and rating visual and writing portfolios, evaluating transcripts, and contacting incomplete applicants, as well as responding to inquiries sent to the general admissions email
  • Distribute daily lists of complete applicants for counselors to review and monitor lists for accuracy, including checking that all majors show on the list, etc.
  • Counsel prospective and accepted students in person, by phone and email on Pratt degree programs, application requirements, financial aid, student life, housing; answers questions related to majors, preparation of portfolio, schedule of events, contents of application, deadline dates, campus visits, etc.
  • Assist with the supervision and training of student assistants in student campus tour guide program including training students, providing information for tours, monitoring them for feedback, assessing survey instruments, and providing feedback to students for improvement as necessary in the absence of the Visit Coordinator
