Admissions Counselor (71101)
Pratt Institute
The Admissions Office at Pratt Institute is seeking a detail-oriented Counselor with the ability to effectively communicate with students, educators, and Pratt faculty and staff regarding all aspects of the recruitment and enrollment processes and provide them with the necessary resources as required. The successful candidate will engage in all aspects of the office's recruitment and enrollment work, which includes travel to recruitment events across the country and abroad; conducting portfolio reviews and information sessions; and building relationships with prospective students, families and high school educators. The Admissions Counselor will be assigned a specific prospect and applicant pool and will be responsible for managing the pool's progress through the admissions funnel.
If you are passionate about student recruitment (both locally and aboard), can demonstrate your ability to prepare and conduct presentations to prospective students and families, have strong organizational and planning skills, and can demonstrate your ability to foster positive working relationships with prospective students, parents, educators, and staff, then we want to hear from you!
On a typical day you will be required to:
- Conduct on campus and off-campus student interviews and portfolio reviews, both in-person and on a remote basis as need and circumstance dictate.
- Provide management of assigned undergraduate prospect and applicant pools, assisting high school and transfer students with completing the admissions process. Responsibilities include: evaluation of academic records and creative materials, updating records, and providing outreach and communication to prospects, parents and educators.
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of on-campus recruitment events, as well as local, regional, national and international recruitment events.
