One-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Environmental Studies - Marine Conservation and Policy



The Environmental Studies (ES) Program at Colby College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in marine conservation and policy to begin September 1, 2022.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies, Environmental Policy, Marine Science or Policy, Conservation Biology, or a related interdisciplinary environmental field as well as a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Candidates who are ABD with an expected completion date prior to August 1, 2022 will be considered. Teaching responsibilities will include five courses, possibly including co-teaching an introductory environmental studies course for majors and minors. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to ocean conservation, fisheries, and marine environmental policy. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the campus community.
