Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Project Development & Delivery, within the Division of Facilities Planning & Management, this technical position will work closely with the Facilities Project Managers to support the project management and coordination of campus projects ranging in scope from over $185,000 to $200 million. This position will aid in developing scope/budget documents for the biennial capital building process and will serve as campus representative during all phases of design for major maintenance and construction projects which include instructional, research and academic spaces. Projects can range from the construction of new buildings to the alteration and repair of existing buildings, structures, or facilities. On average, this position will manage 30 to 40 projects per year. The position will represent campus needs and interests with other state agencies in the design of university facilities, in setting related guidelines and in making operational decisions. All projects are constructed for quality of design, economics of construction, and efficiency of operation. In addition, this position evaluates and meets client needs on Capital Projects through budget assessment, programming, design coordination, procurement, installation and managing Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) of new buildings, facility additions, and large-scale remodeling projects. This position participates in the development of building programs and coordinate the work of outside architectural/engineering firms who have been hired to design and construct campus buildings.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five years of experience working supporting all interior phases of capital projects in partnership with customers, vendors, and manufacturer representatives.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical skills in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite, will be a strong communicator, have excellent time management skills, and be a well-organized, highly motivated self-starter, and able to work independently.
