Dordt University is currently seeking an adjunct faculty member to design and teach Contemporary Policing (MPA 542) in the Master of Public Administration program. Course dates run from January 13 March 7. Our institution uses the Canvas learning management system, and resources are available to help with planning. This position would include compensation associated with course design work, which will begin immediately upon hiring.
The course is designed to help professionals understand the development, operation, and evaluation of initiatives in line with both contemporary best practices in policing and current research.
Candidates should have excellent communication skills, mature interpersonal skills and ability to work independently. A Ph.D. or other terminal degree is preferred for this position. A master's degree and substantial experience working or teaching around this topic is required.
