Summary/Objective

The Director, Faculty HR Administration ("Director") is a team leadership position with the Office of Human Resources and reports to the Executive Director, Total Rewards & HR Service Delivery. The Director manages the operations of the Faculty Service Delivery team; this team is the first point of contact for faculty questions regarding their compensation, benefits, and contract documents. The Director ensures the team's high level of responsiveness to inquiries from employees and campus partners and the timely and accurate processing of information and contracts, and is responsible for the oversight and execution of the faculty merit administration process. The Director provides consultation on faculty matters with the university's Dean of Faculty office and consults with other areas of Human Resources in developing strategies to enhance the HR services provided to faculty.

Essential Functions
  1. Manage the daily operations relating to the Faculty HR Service Delivery team, which is responsible for responding to faculty questions regarding pay, contract terms, benefits, and HR policies. Ensures high level of responsiveness to inquiries from employees and campus partners and the timely and accurate processing of information. Ensures accurate and timely delivery of faculty contracts. Oversees the ServiceNow tickets assigned to Faculty HR Service Delivery team and sets expectations and standards related to service delivery. Provides direct support to the team in times of high volume by assisting with ticket load and other complex matters. Provides annual and other reports as requested. Ensures that the policies of the university are accurately conveyed, consistently implemented, and equally enforced. Consult with other areas of HR in developing strategies to enhance the HR services provided to faculty.
  2. Select, manage, coach, and train staff members of the service delivery team in a team environment that produces high quality, responsive, and reliable service to clients. Encourage and seek opportunities for professional development.
  3. Ensure that the university maintains compliance with various laws, policies and procedures by reviewing various audit reports, monitoring the work of the teams, auditing employee files etc.
  4. Other duties as appropriately assigned.


Supervisory Responsibility

This position supervises 3 employees of the Faculty HR Service Delivery team.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience
