Job Summary
The College Success Department at Johnson County Community College is seeking adjunct professors to teach one or more College Success Career Development and/or Learning Strategies classes starting Spring 2022. The position may be on campus, hybrid, and online classes during daytime or evening hours. Training for teaching Learning Strategies is provided.
Required Qualifications
Masters degree in Education or related field
or
Master's degree and 18 graduate hours in Education or related field
Good oral and written communication skills
Computer literacy skills
Treat all members of the college community with dignity and respect demonstrating inclusivity and civility, and engage in constructive conflict resolution
1 or more years of higher education teaching/tutoring experience
One or more years of post-secondary experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Zoom, Canvas/LMS systems, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Microsoft Office programs
Community College teaching/tutoring experience
Demonstrated interest in and commitment to ongoing professional development
Experience teaching Learning Strategies, FYE courses, mathematics or career planning
