enthusiasts, Interlochen Center for the Arts nurtures creativity
through five dynamic platforms: Interlochen Arts Camp, the renowned
summer arts program; Interlochen Arts Academy, the nation’s premier
fine arts boarding high school; Interlochen Presents, a producer of
more than 600 annual performances by internationally celebrated
guest artists, Interlochen students, and faculty; Interlochen
Public Radio, two listener-supported, 24-hour public radio stations
(classical music and news); and Interlochen College of Creative
Arts, a convener for lifelong learning in the arts.
The Assistant Director of Admission & Partnership
Coordinator for Interlochen Arts Camp (IAC) works closely with the
Assistant Dean of Admission & Financial Aid - IAC to support
effective operations processes for camp enrollment including
managing applications for several camp programs and overseeing
partnership programs. Partner programs at Interlochen include
community based organizations, non-profits, schools, influencers,
etc. This person will guide the recruitment, enrollment and
onboarding of students from our partnership organizations and
maintain accurate records. Working closely with Diversity, Equity,
and Inclusion leadership, the AD will help to cultivate new
partnership pipelines and steward both the organizations and
students and families through the enrollment process.
On the front lines with families helping to steer
them to the right program fit, the AD is responsible for clear and
accurate communication while cultivating relationships throughout
the cycle.
This position is a career opportunity to use a
broad-based knowledge of specialized-program enrollment management
and financial aid, while acting as an arts advocate at one of the
nation’s premier arts education centers. The Enrollment Office
works with more than 3,000 qualified elementary through high
school-age students from more than 50 countries each year across
numerous artistic disciplines and study sessions.
Essential Duties:
Develop and implement a recruitment plan to reach
diverse communities through partnerships with community based
organizations, non-profits, schools, influencers, etc.
Manage the matriculation of partnership students to
camp
Maintain accurate records of partnership students
application journey, financial aid, and matriculation process for
reporting
Coordinate partnership information with internal
constituents (cross campus coordinator for partnerships) liaising
consistently with Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, and
Inclusion and Executive Dean of Enrollment Management
Conduct research for best practices for diversity
and yield initiatives
Review Interlochen Arts Camp
applications
Execute efficient operations regarding camp
enrollment
Suggest adjustments for efficiency in
workflows
Implement overall strategic vision for
enrollment
Advises families and students for success
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree desirable Two to three years of experience in an education, admissions, or non-profit setting Superior organizational skills Highly developed written and verbal communication skills Experience working independently and meeting long-term goals Experience with student recruitment and/or enrollment desirable Experience with relationship building and partner management Connection to the arts desirable Strong technical acumen and comfortability with the Google Suite of tools Some experience in the DE&I space or working with diverse organizations in the arts or non-profits desirable
