Cazenovia College seeks a Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM).  As an executive administrative officer, reporting to the President, Cazenovia College’s successful VPEM will be responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive strategic enrollment plan including oversight of the College’s internal and external marketing and communications efforts, the integration of messaging strategy with admissions strategy, planning, and operational activity, and the use of financial aid to leverage student interest to collectively maximize Cazenovia College regional and national awareness, interest, preference and enrollment.

The Vice President for Enrollment Management will have budgetary and supervisory responsibilities for the operational areas of marketing and communications, admissions, and financial aid.  The individual will be expected to work closely with both academic and student affairs to integrate their understanding of incoming student needs with efforts focused on student retention and persistence to graduation.

This is a full-time, twelve-month position. Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials along with eligibility to participate in a comprehensive benefits package.


The successful candidate will possess:

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in relevant field. Doctorate preferred.
  • Seven to ten years of progressive leadership roles in the field of enrollment management in an academic setting, including demonstrated management and supervisory experience.
  • Superior public presentation as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities that facilitate working with and across key stakeholders including prospective students and families, faculty and staff, current students, alumni, and other external constituents essential to meeting and exceeding enrollment expectations, and ultimately advancing the goals and mission of the College.

Demonstrated understanding and experience with:

  • Defining, capturing, and analyzing data and market information to drive strategic enrollment planning.
  • Informing and guiding the development of key messaging and promotional content.
  • Developing and executing a strategic enrollment plan including the ability to analyze and apply data for the establishment and tracking of appropriate key performance indicators, interim assessment and evaluation measures, and achieved targets and outcomes.
  • Supporting a comprehensive enrollment services operation inclusive of financial aid and additional financial support functions.
  • Effectively managing aid packages to leverage, package, and disburse awards in support of enrollment targets and outcomes.
  • Preparing and allocating operational budgets to accomplish goals.
