Position Summary:
Join St Petersburg College's (SPC) Human Resources as we strategically partner with the college community to identify and proactively address its changing needs and effectively facilitate the various phases of the employment life cycle. Deliver quality, timely and custom-tailored talent acquisition services utilizing proactive and creative sourcing strategies to recruit high quality diverse candidate for a designated client base. Serve as liaison to internal and external recruitment augmentation resources to assist with the various aspects of the full cycle recruitment processes including but not limited to salary recommendations, offer negotiations and onboarding. Serve as expert relative to 'outstanding' talent acquisition practices and strategies and workforce planning.


Requirements::
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

3 years of progressive and varied recruitment experience.

Preferred Experience

Proficiency in web-based recruiting tools, including social media and job boards, and applicant tracking systems.

Proven experience in recruiting high quality candidates at all levels with a focus on sustained pipeline development and sourcing passive candidates.

Knowledge of HR processes and systems, HR legal compliance and the use of social media to support recruiting.

Excellent planning, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws relating to the recruitment and employment functional areas of Human Resources.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems. Skill in using office computer information systems to organize, store, manipulate, and retrieve data.
• Highly effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage multiple assignments and competing priorities.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Focused on providing a high level of customer service and follow through.


Responsibilities:

• Lead the full cycle recruitment process for all open positions in assigned business and academic units, including sourcing candidates, diversity initiatives, screening resumes, coordinating interview process, interviewing candidates, conducting reference and background checks, making salary recommendations, negotiating offers and initiating the onboarding process for new employees
• Partner with hiring departments to identify and attract the best diverse talent. Initiate recruitment advising meetings with the hiring managers to discuss open position needs/requirements, candidate selection criteria, and an appropriate recruitment strategy. Communicate effectively with the hiring manager/interview team to ensure preparedness throughout the interview process. Ensure all recruitment and hiring practices are in accordance with federal and state employment law ensuring fair employment practices.
• Collaborate with recruitment augmented service providers to provide college expertise in all aspects of the recruitment process. Assist in all phases of this initiative to include providing guidance and answering questions on posting, sap transactions, background check, salary recommendations, offer validation, confirmation letters and onboarding.
• Ensure all recruitment and hiring practices are in accordance with federal and state employment law ensuring fair employment practices
• Responsible for other duties as assigned
