Scope of Job:
To assist in the management of university wide projects including the development and implementation of project's charter, project plan, scope, budget, resources, product quality, and communication plan.

Description of Duties:
• Assists the project manager in the implementation of university wide projects, related to information resources and overall process improvement projects.

• Assists with daily operations and functions of the Project Management Office.

• Assists in the preparation and coordination of project charters, work plans, quality, and communication plans for assigned projects.

• Coordinates and leads project meetings.

• Coaches and mentors the project team for assigned projects.

• Prepares user documentation and training materials and conducts training.

• Enforces established policies, methodologies, standards and procedures.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervision Received:
General supervision from immediate supervisor.

Supervision Given:
General supervision of support staff.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology or related field.

Licenses/Certifications:
None.

Required Experience:
Three (3) years experience in one or several of the following areas: performing duties related to the stated job duties, experience in IT related areas or experience in the coordination of projects or large and complex processes.

Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of the ERP systems. Experience with business process re-engineering and improvement.

Equipment:
Microsoft Office and Project software.

Working Conditions:
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Usual office environment. May be required to work weekends and/or evenings. Occasional travel may be required. This is identified as a remote (work from home) position and will require reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace.

Other:
Strong project management skills, effective verbal and written communication skills. Must have excellent planning, organization, mentoring, and documentation skills. Highly knowledgeable in project management methodologies and application. Ability to build strong working relationships with campus staff and administrators to facilitate project completion. Possess highly developed organizational, interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills.
