Tenure Track Positions:
Responsibilities: Teach each semester. Publish in refereed journals. Participate in professional organizations and in course, curriculum, and program development. Advise students/provide career guidance. Participate in campus, university, and community service activities. Teaching assignments may require teaching day, evening and/or weekend classes as needed. Teach using traditional, hybrid and online delivery methods Supervise undergraduate research projects. Commitment to active and collaborative learning, and instructional use of technology. Advise students and provide career guidance. Participate in campus, university, and community service activities. Engage in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications: Evidence of potential in research and publication. Interest in active and collaborative learning, instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching. Prior college-level and online teaching experience is favorable. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.

Computer Science, Penn State Brandywine, Hazleton and Beaver, Associate/Assistant Professor. This is a tenure-line position and will be a shared position with the Penn State Beaver and Penn State Hazleton campuses. Serve as Professor in Charge of the Computer Science Program consortium, across Penn State's Brandywine, Beaver & Hazleton campuses, teach lower/upper division classes. Collaborate with all faculty in the program, Chief Academic Officers, and Associate Vice President and Senior Associate Dean of the Commonwealth Campuses. Successful candidate will be based at Brandywine Campus. Minimum requirements for position to be filled as Assistant Professor is Ph.D. in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, or closely related fields with 4 years of Assistant Professorship experience. Minimum requirement for position to be filled as Associate Professor is Ph.D. in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, or closely related fields and evidence of research/ publications in artificial intelligence or closely related field is expected. Additional preferences for either rank: evidence of commitment to/interest in active and collaborative learning; instructional use of technology, experience in hybrid course delivery; evidence of experience in multidisciplinary environment; demonstrated commitment to and ability/training in successfully advocating for diversity and values of diversity.

Business/Management, Brandywine Campus, Media, PA. Assistant Professor. Position supports campus baccalaureate/associate degree programs in business and the pre-major curricula for all Penn State business majors. Experience teaching the following courses is desirable: Management Principles, Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, Human Resources Management, Strategic Business Planning, Organizational Behavior, and Leadership and Motivation. Successful candidate will be proficient in teaching contemporary skills for business professionals--emphasizing the development of individual, group, critical thinking, and presentation skills--through active and collaborative learning. Experience using and teaching Excel and other business software/technology is desired. Business industry experience and previous teaching experience at collegiate level preferred, but not required. Areas of teaching/research may also include African American studies, Latin American studies and/or Disability Studies. The successful candidate must hold a DBA or PhD in Business or a related field.

Business/Management, New Kensington Campus, New Kensington, PA. Assistant Professor. Teach a range of introductory/upper-division undergraduate courses. Participate in course, curriculum, and program development. Ph.D. in management, business administration, or closely related field is required, as is a detailed research agenda in a management subfield. ABD candidates will be considered if there is a clear completion date before August 1, 2022.

Computer Science, Beaver Campus, Monaca, PA. Assistant Professor. Teach each semester. Successful candidate will be able to instruct courses in object-oriented programming, systems programming, computer organization and design, theory of computation, operating systems design, programming languages, web technologies and server-side programming, and have additional expertise in the area of artificial intelligence or data science or closely related areas to teach courses in those areas. Position is part of a three campus Penn State consortium (Beaver, Brandywine, and Hazleton) that delivers baccalaureate program in Computer Science. Successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty at other campuses to deliver a portion of curriculum to multiple campuses using variety of distance delivery methods.

Computer Science, Hazleton Campus, Hazleton, PA. Assistant Professor. Teach each semester, assignments will include classroom and laboratory courses in Computer Science. Position will teach in support of a new baccalaureate degree program offered by three Penn State campuses in conjunction with the College of Engineering: Penn State Beaver, Penn State Brandywine, and Penn State Hazleton. Successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty at the other campuses to deliver a portion of the curriculum to multiple campuses using a variety of distance delivery methods. Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution. Teaching duties fall within the Computer Science degree offered at the three campuses. Teach courses in object-oriented programming, systems programming, computer organization and design, theory of computation, operating systems design, programming languages, and electives in the instructor's area of expertise. Evidence of potential research and publication in artificial intelligence or a closely related field is expected.

Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations, Beaver Campus, Monaca, PA. Assistant Professor.Teach each semester lower division courses in cybersecurity analytics and operations as well as upper division courses in (but not limited to): intrusion detection; firewall configuration and monitoring; big data analytics in security; statistics for security and risk analysis; computer and cyber forensics; computer and cyber risk management; malware analytics; information security architecture. Successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty at other campuses to deliver a portion of the curriculum to multiple campuses using a variety of distance delivery methods. Ph.D. in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations or related field filed by July 1, 2022. (ABD considered). Background and expertise in one of the following areas is strongly preferred: cybersecurity engineering, computer science, computer engineering, information assurance, information technology.

Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations, Shenango Campus, Sharon, PA. Assistant Professor. Teach each semester lower/upper division classes in our Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations (CYAOP) degree program. The Cybersecurity baccalaureate degree at Penn State Shenango is jointly delivered through a seven-campus consortium. Ph.D. in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or closely related field is required by August 2022. ABD will be considered with completion by August 2022. Preferred candidates will have specific expertise in cybersecurity including experience with cyber defense strategies,risk management, penetration testing, ethical hacking, and privacy. Related expertise in any of the following areas is also desirable: database, networking, information security, enterprise systems, data analytics, cloud computing, programming (Python and Java preferred), data science, gaming and app development or other emerging topics in the information technology field. Evidence of potential in research/publication is expected.

Engineering-Mechanical, Scranton Campus, Scranton, PA. Two faculty positions. Assistant Professor. Teach each semester undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. Position 1, we seek exceptional candidates with interests/expertise in Mechatronics, Circuit Analysis, Instrumentation and Measurements, Control/Dynamical Systems, Robotics, Vibrations. Position 2 we seek exceptional candidates with interests/expertise in Heat Transfer, Manufacturing Processes, Properties/Processing of Engineering Materials, Computational Tools (FEA/CFD), Professional Development, Mechanical Systems Design Project. Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (or associated field). ABDs completing their doctorate by Summer 2022 will be considered for Position 2. Electrical Engineering Technology, York Campus, York, PA, Assistant Professor.Teach undergraduate courses that support ABET-accredited programs in electrical engineering technology (two-year EET) and in electro-mechanical engineering technology (four-year EMET). Hold a Ph.D. with three-four years' experience in industry. The candidate should be capable of teaching a second-year electrical engineering course that requires solving second-order electronic circuits using differential equations. Successful candidate will teach lower/upper-division courses in their specialty that support the EET and EMET majors and/or fulfill the University's General Education requirements.

Psychology, New Kensington Campus, New Kensington, PA. Assistant Professor. Teach a range of introductory/ upper-division undergraduate courses. Ph.D. in Psychology is required, as is a demonstrated interest in the field of developmental psychology and in teaching child- and adolescent-development courses. ABD candidates will be considered if there is a clear completion date before August 1, 2022.
