The Department of Athletics at California State University, Fullerton, invites applications for a part time Assistant Men's/Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Coach position with anticipated appointment to begin November 11, 2021.

Position
The Men's/Women's Cross Country and Track & Field program at California State University, Fullerton is a highly competitive program which competes in the NCAA Division I Big West Conference. The Assistant Coach position assists with coaching in this program, and includes the following duties:
- Assist with coaching a highly competitive cross country and
track & field program which competes in the NCAA Division I Big
West Conference
- Recruit Division I quality student-athletes
- Assist with monitoring the academic progress of
student-athletes
- Assist with conditioning during the off season
- Know and abide by NCAA, University, and Big West rules and
regulations
- Assist with team practice and competition
- Take an active role in marketing men's/women's cross country
and track & field on campus and within the community through
public appearances, fundraising and promotional efforts
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Cross Country and Track
& Field Coach
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required
- Preferred two years collegiate cross country and track &
field coaching experience
- Proven ability to recruit highly skilled student-athletes and a
demonstrated commitment to their satisfactory academic
progress
- Possession of excellent interpersonal, communication and
organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA Division I rules
and regulations
- Ability to interact successfully with a wide and culturally
diverse range of students and to work harmoniously with students
and colleagues

The classification for this position is Coaching Assistant and is in the faculty bargaining unit. This is a 12-month, part time position. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
