Responsibilities
The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement will be responsible for the development, management, and execution of two major hallmark signature events; Summer Wine Festival (and related Gaels in Wine Chapter management), and Music on the Lawn. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for the development and execution of all legacy programming, the development of parent engagement programming, as well as mission related programming and events. The Assistant Director will be responsible for volunteer management and event execution of select alumni regional chapters and athletic related events and programs.

Essential Functions:
SIGNATURE EVENTS: Responsible for the development,
management, and execution of two major hallmark signature events;
Summer Wine Festival (and related Gaels in Wine Chapter management),
and Music on the Lawn.

CHAPTER MANAGEMENT: Responsible for the volunteer
management and event execution of select alumni regional chapters, and
athletic pre-game events.

LEGACY AND PARENT ENGAGEMENT: Responsible for the
development and launch of a parent engagement program, in conjunction
with Legacy Programming (Legacy Graduate Celebration, Legacy Family
Luncheon), to encourage and engage more current and former families in
the life of the College.

MISSION ENGAGEMENT: Responsible for the development and
execution of mission related events and programming, such as Alumni
Service Days, De La Salle Week, etc. in collaboration with campus
partners in Mission and Ministry and CILSA.

GENERAL: General Alumni Engagement work responding quickly to inquiries via email, phone and face to face drop-ins.

PARTNERSHIPS: Represents the Office of Alumni Engagement with campus partners, various institutional committees, and at various campus/student life events.

OTHER DUTIES ASSIGNED: Frequent presence at events as needed, including night and weekend responsibilities and some travel.

Experience and Qualifications
Education Required: BA or BS

Experience: (years required and applicable field of experience): 5-7 years of volunteer management, development and/or event planning experience needed. Preferably in higher education or non-profit sector.

Skills/Abilities: (e.g. computer skills, written & verbal skills, trades, laws, procedures, technical): Advanced interpersonal skills, comfortable with managing volunteers of different backgrounds and generations. Computer and datatbase familiarity, with knowledge of Colleague and Informer a plus. Confident verbal, written and design
skills. Comfortable in presentation settings, public speaking, and leading groups.

Licenses & Certifications (e.g. CPA, RN, etc.): REQUIRED: None

Other Requirements: Frequent weekend and evening work required to be present at alumni events.
